Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. this Sunday, Nov. 3 – Don’t forget to set your clock BACK one hour.
2. Guatemala Missions Trip Parent & Student Meeting
On November 3 at 11:00am in the Shed, we will have an informational meeting about the Spring Break Mission Trip to Guatemala. If you are interested in participating in this trip, please join us to receive an informational packet and registration form.
3. Help Desk

Do you have questions about online giving, the website, our HMUMC member’s site or just want to find out how you can get connected here at HMUMC? Stop by the New HMUMC Help Desk in the narthex from 5:00 to 6:00pm on Wednesday, November 6 and every 1st Wednesday of each month.
4. Ministry Meetings
Saturday, November 9 at 10:30am
Join us every Wednesday from 6:00pm-8:30pm & Saturday, November 9 10:30am-12:00pm in Modular A-8. Learn how easy it is to make a beautiful quilt for someone in need at our church or in our community! No experience necessary! Contact Diane Johnson.
Quilting Ministry Clean Up Day – Saturday, November 16 – 9:00am to 12:00noon
The quilting ladies need your help. Our ministry is blessed that we have fabric, but not enough space. We need to clean out our cabinets, and we need many hands to help. If you are willing to help, please contact Cheri Loy firstname.lastname@example.org or 770-932-2756.

Featuring 32 Workshops to strengthen and inform leadership in the church, enrich ministries with new ideas, explore ways to reach and serve your community and build relationships by networking with others in the district. learn more
7. Best Ever Parenting Seminar
Best Ever Parenting Seminar – Sunday, November 10 at Roswell UMC
This seminar, by internationally renowned youth ministry experts Mark Oestreicher and Adam McLain will give parents tools to equip them when dealing with the challenges of raising their teen. Held at the same time, the “Reach Rally” is a perfect opportunity for our youth to connect with others their age in the district. The HMUMC car pool will be leaving the church parking lot following the 11:00am service and will stop for lunch along the way. Please prayerfully consider joining us by contacting Rachael Davis at 770-596-1696.
8. Turkey Bowl
Sunday, November 10th starting at 2:00pm
Join us for the Turkey Bowl! The 3rd Annual Flag Football Tournament will be held on the fields next to The Shed. All are welcome to play. All forms are due at the captain’s meeting THIS SUNDAY, Nov 3 at 12:15pm in the Shed.
9. Woman’s Christmas Dinners
December 5 or December 6 at 6:30pm
Celebrate Christmas with your girlfriends! Don’t miss guest speaker, Merry Grayson with entertainment by Melanie Pearson. The cost is $20 per person.
Purchase Thanksgiving dinners for our families who depend on the Food Pantry. Your donation of $35.00 will purchase a complete meal with a turkey and all of the trimmings. Please order online below by Wednesday, November 13 or place a check in the offering plate with “Thanksgiving Dinner” in the memo line.

Honduras North Coast Mission Trip Donations
Help support this mission trip by donating summer clothes, soccer, basket and footballs, match box cars, puppets, school supplies, and arts and craft supplies. It’s that time again! Create special memories with your family and bless a child somewhere in the world by making a Christmas Child shoe box. Brochures are available at church. Place shoe boxes in the bin by the elevator by Sunday, November 17.
