November Virtue – Wisdom

13Nov_widescreen_Wisdom 2Dear Parents,

We have begun a new month at Crosstown Kids which means we have a new virtue! Wisdom – finding out what you should do and doing it! We have embarked on a modern age treasure hunt in search of God’s gift of wisdom in our lives! All month we will be navigate through the life of Soloman, the wisest man from the Old Testament. Our memory verse is from Proverbs; “Choose my teaching instead of silver. Choose knowledge rather than fine gold.” Proverbs 8:10.

Instead of sailing the seas in search of pirate treasure; we are searching for the treasure of God’s wisdom using modern technology! Each week we will open a new Geocache found with GPS coordinates that holds a token of wisdom that complements the lesson of the week. We invite you to take the journey with us! We have hidden a cache somewhere outside on our campus and invite you to bring your child armed with your GPS to locate the cache. Once you have found it, sign the book inside, take a prize and replace it with your own “treasure”. The coordinates are: 34.056161209041306, -83.88571889147524. Be sure to leave the cache container exactly where you find it so that others will be successful as well. Happy treasure hunting and be sure to tell us about your adventure in the comment box below!
