Copy of HMUMC’s Deck the Halls Celebration was a Wonderful Way to Kick Off the Advent Season!

The Christmas season has finally started! At the Deck the Hall celebration last night, many families gathered to put together Advent wreaths, decorate cookies, make ornaments, and drink cocoa and hot cider. Then we headed to the sanctuary for a service that walked us through the candles on the Advent wreath. We explored the candle’s colors and meaning. Let’s see if I can remember….the candles of Hope, Peace, Joy, Love, and Light. (the Christ candle). KidzPraize Choir also gave us a sample of the Christmas program that will be presented THIS Sunday, December 8 beginning at 5:30 pm. You won’t want to miss this special event as the kids bless us with their talents. Children can remind us about the preciousness of the season like no one else. Thanks to Heather Korey, Jamie Bouchard and the Time Out mom’s groups who helped with the night. It was a fabulous way to kick off the Christmas season.
