4. Growing Together

Growing Together Horizontal_CMYKMark your calendars for the Growing Together campaign kick-off on February 23 in all three services.

HMUMC is a place “where people matter.” From the beginning of our church in 1995 to present day, every ministry we have, every mission we engage in, every worship service we plan, and every decision we make is driven by a passionate vision for people. On Sunday, February 23 in all three services,  we continue this mission by kicking-off the “Growing Together – Generation to Generation” building campaign. We are looking forward to sharing all of the campaign details including building drawings, a construction time line, building costs, and our campaign pledge goals.

In the meantime… keep praying (at 2:21 each day if you can) and check out the Growing Together website link below! This is your go to spot for the latest news including the main goals, info on how you can get involved, and an online survey and pledge form.

We are exploring beginning a monthly Tuesday morning group for older women who live alone or with children. 10. Say yes! And Volunteer to help our Hospitality and Caring ministries.

There are opportunities for everyone. Some of the volunteer opportunities on Sunday mornings include: Bus Drivers, assisting at the Welcome Desk, Traffic Ministry, and working on the Coffee Brigade. There are also plenty of opportunities to volunteer throughout the week answering phones, delivering flowers, writing cards, serving as a Sanctuary angel, preparing meals to those in need or helping out with our Wednesday Night Suppers.
Get the kids involved and volunteer as a family! Sunday Morning Greeters, Wednesday Night Supper Serving Crew (families with children over the age of 13 please), or the Flower Power Ministry are all perfectly suited for families. Please contact Robin Boozer at robin.boozer@hmumc.org for more information on volunteer opportunities!
