1. Growing Together
The Growing Together campaign kick-off is THIS SUNDAY, February 23 in all three services.
We are looking forward to seeing you on Sunday! We can’t wait to share all of the campaign details including building drawings, a construction time line, building costs, and our campaign pledge goals. This is a service you do not want to miss! We are even going to venture outside to get a better look at the building space and spend a few moments praying together as a congregation.

2. WinShape Kick- off Week: March 2 – March 8
The Best Week of Summer – WinShape Camp!
The excitement begins on SUNDAY, March 2, we will learn about early discount registration for rising 2nd – 7th graders, volunteer opportunities and discounts, and most importantly this year’s scholarship goal to help send deserving children in our community to camp so they can learn more about the God who loves them right here at HMUMC!

3. Lenten Study at 9:30am Beginning March 2
Meet others in the church and get ready for Easter by studying Adam Hamilton’s “24 Hours that Changed the World.” This study will take you through Jesus’ last day and will transform how you understand his death. March 2 – April 6 in Modular Room A-3.

6:30pm – Cancer Support Wednesday Nights in Pastor Jason’s office
We offer support, prayer and encouragement for cancer patients, family members and loved ones whose lives have been impacted in any way by a cancer diagnosis. Share your experiences with others, or simply listen and take comfort from those who understand.
5. Next Starting Point Class Begins Sunday, March 2
Starting Point is a four-session orientation class for people who are considering membership – but it’s more than that! Whether you’re brand new to Hamilton Mill UMC or you’ve been here for a while, Starting Point offers a chance for you to make some new friends and learn more about the church.
6. Shrove Pancake Supper
Tuesday, March 4 from 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Celebrate the start of the Lenten season with a traditional pancake meal, and the legendary Johnny Knapp and his Dixie Land Jazz Band. Adults will be $6.00 and children are $3.00.
7. Ash Wednesday Service
Wednesday March 5 at 7:00pm
Join us for our annual Ash Wednesday service that will take the place of our regular evening programming and Wednesday Night Supper in observance of the beginning of Lent. Childcare is available for children under 3 years and younger.
8. 6th Grade Confirmation Retreat
Friday, March 14 at 4:30pm to Sunday, March 16 at 1:00pm
Any 6th grader participating in confirmation class is welcome to attend! Our weekend theme will be “I Promise” and we’ll focus on Prayers, Presence, Gifts, Service, and Witness. Check-in at the church Friday, March 14th at 4:30pm and arrive back at the church at 1pm on Sunday. Cost is $199 February 9-March 5th. Registration closes on March 5th.
9. Life Group for Older Women Begins March 4
Join us on March 4 from 10 – 11:30 am in Room A-1 in the Modular Building as this new Life Group begins. Our focus is to develop Christian friendships, study, serve, and encourage one another to live this season of life with grace. RSVP to Ethel Lemm at firstname.lastname@example.org.
10. Say yes! And Volunteer to help our Hospitality and Caring ministries.
There are opportunities for everyone. Some of the volunteer opportunities on Sunday mornings include: Bus Drivers, assisting at the Welcome Desk, Traffic Ministry, and working on the Coffee Brigade. There are also plenty of opportunities to volunteer throughout the week answering phones, delivering flowers, writing cards, serving as a Sanctuary angel, preparing meals to those in need or helping out with our Wednesday Night Suppers.
Get the kids involved and volunteer as a family! Sunday Morning Greeters, Wednesday Night Supper Serving Crew (families with children over the age of 13 please), or the Flower Power Ministry are all perfectly suited for families.
