A Special Day for Pets at The Pantry

pet clinic

Saturday was a very special day for the pets of our Food Pantry patrons!

Thanks to Dr. Destiny Prezzano and her team from the Apalachee River Animal Hospital, over 30 pets received free vaccinations, checkups and pet food at The Pantry last Saturday, March 29 at Hamilton Mill UMC.

Dr. Destiny and her husband Dr. Randy Prezzano are members of HMUMC and thought that they could give back to the church in a very special way. As owners of Apalachee River Animal Hospital, they contacted their vendors and were able to secure donations of vaccines and pet food. While working at the Pantry, they visited with the Pantry patrons and inquired if they had pets. Appointments were given and the temporary clinic was set up. The event was so successful; they plan to return in late April for another vaccination clinic. A very special thank you to Dr. Destiny and her staff for showing God’s love and care to our four legged friends.
