Day 2 – Sabbath, Worship, & Preparation

Categories: High School,Students

Today was another amazing day full of worship, exploring, and preparing for construction and VBS tomorrow! It looks like from our schedule that we’ll only be able to update the blog once per day. However, you can also check The Shed’s Facebook page for other updates. Thank you for all the prayers!

Today’s entry is written by Reagan Mahaley

We started off the day with morning worship inside The Promise Land–the amazing place we get to call home for this week.

Many people got to share testimonies and tell the group how their lives have been changed by the Lord.

Then, after many games of soccer and Duck Duck Goose in the yard, we left to hike an absolutely gorgeous mountain in San Juan La Laguna, which is the town beside where we’re currently staying. The scenery of this place is so astounding that I can’t even find a word to express its beauty.

For the next great stop in today’s journey we had the opportunity to visit a local Guatemalan Church. The service was very musical including numerous songs of praise. Children of various ages were also included throughout worship. It was extremely exciting and humbling to be able to view this different culture first hand.

Pastor Jonathan preached in Spanish and Carlos translated into English!

God has blessed us!!

I am ecstatic to see what God has planned for us next!! We love and miss all y’all back home.
