Day 4 – Favorite Moments Part 1

Categories: High School,Students

Yesterday was another amazing day!

Half of the group kept working at the construction site in the morning while the other half went to “Abuelitos”–literally “small old people” in Spanish–to spend time with some older adults. After lunch at a local restaurant, we all went to a local church where we played with kids, welcomed the community, and showed them a video about Jesus in Spanish, which was made for children. There were over a hundred people present! We prayed with everyone afterwards and helped provide a nutritious snack.

Over the last couple of days, a stomach bug passed through a number of people in our group. I’m glad to report that everyone is now feeling well! God provided for us in a great way with a nurse, Rachel Davis, and a pharmacist, Mike Wooten, who helped take care of everyone.

Yesterday, we asked some of the students what their favorite part of the mission trip has been so far. Watch below for some of the students’ responses. And come back tomorrow to hear from the rest of the team:

p.s. This was our sunrise this morning!

    Hello team 🙂
What a real “blessing “to hear from you and to see how you have impacted so many lives serving in God’s kingdom. Being God’s hands and feet and sharing your love to all the children. We are so PROUD of you stepping out in faith to serve. Safe travels back and you all have been greatly missed at HMUMC. Love and peace Lisa and Rick Barnett < < < 🙂
