1. Growing Together Congregational Meeting

Please join us for a special congregational meeting on Sunday to discuss a few exciting next steps in the Growing Together – Generation to Generation campaign. We will be giving a complete campaign status update and then have a brief Q&A session before voting on two important resolutions: (1) using funds to secure construction documents; and (2) beginning site preparation to move the modular buildings. Your vote is important to this campaign, because now is the time to move forward in our mission to Grow TOGETHER – Generation to Generation.

 

 

2. Wednesday Night Supper is Back!

Join your church family for suppert. The menu tonight includes Chicken Enchiladas,  Mexican Rice, Black Beans, Chips and Dip.

3. WinShape Camp

Enjoy a night out at the Hamilton Mill Chick-fil-a and help support this amazing camp! A percentage of the total sales for the evening will go to our camper scholarship fund that helps local families in need send their kids to camp.

WinShape Camp at HMUMC is the ultimate day camp experience for rising 2nd – 7th graders. Campers choose from 19 different activities. We combine sports, arts, recreation, Bible Study and worship, keeping them busy from 8:00am to 5:00pm each day for the BEST WEEK EVER! Camp is July 14 – 18.

Scholarship Fund Donations Needed!

We need your help with the camper scholarship fund. This fund helps local families in need send their kids to camp. You can make a donation online or use the envelopes in the seat backs on Sunday morning. We have several business sponsorship incentives as well. Did you see the Chelsea’s Summer of a Lifetime blog? Every child deserved to have a summer of a lifetime!

4. United Methodist Men’s Annual BBQ

Men's BBQ TeaserSaturday, April 26 – 11:00am to 6:00pm

Stop by the church THIS SATURDAY for the United Methodist Men’s famous slow roasted BBQ. $8 for a pulled pork plate which includes slaw, baked beans and bread. $5 for a pint of Brunswick Stew.

 

 

 

 

 

 

5. The Growing Together Church Garden Planting Day: April 26

Join us on planting day for our NEW “Growing Together Community Garden.” We need lots of volunteers to help plant seeds to make sure we are ready to produce a plentiful harvest for donations to The Pantry, the HMUMC Farmer’s Market and for anyone in our community looking for fresh produce. 6. The Next Starting Point Class

8. HMUMC Farmers’ Market

Wednesdays May 21- Aug 6

The HMUMC Farmers’ Market will serve as a venue for our community to buy and sell locally grown produce and other homemade goods. Space rental is inexpensive and 100% of  the profits will be donated to our HMUMC Food Pantry.

Last Rehearsal and End of Year Concert: Wednesday, April 30 on The Rooftop from 5:30pm-6:00pm

  • Children arrive at their usual time of 5:00pm, but will gather upstairs in Room 351
  • Parents are asked to stay and go to The Rooftop to wait for the concert to begin.
  • Concert from 5:30pm-6:00pm. Children dismissed to parents at 6:00pm.
  • Kidz Praize is finished for the season on Wednesday, April 30 and will not meet Wednesday, May 7

Mother’s Day: Kidz Praize & Wee Praize will sing on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11 at 9:30am & 11:00am

10. Out of Darkness Training

Out of Darkness

June 13 – June 14

Help shine a light on human trafficking at this special training class. HMUMC is proud to partner with the Out of Darkness ministry and their mission to help women break the bonds of exploitation in Atlanta. Learn more about how you can help to reach, rescue and restore the women who are still living in bondage. You too can be a part of what God has done and is doing to rebuild and restore the hearts of women in Atlanta and beyond.
