1. Bible Study on Wednesday Nights in June


TONIGHT from 6:30pm-7:45pm in Room 351

Join us Wednesday nights as we study the book of 1 John together. Pastor Jonathan and other guest teachers will be leading. There is no need to pre-register and if you miss as week for vacation simply join us the next week!





2. Student Ministry


Ignite Lock-in

June 27 – June 28 – 9:00pm to 7:00am

We’ll have a night full of fun, capture the flag, movies, and more fun!  Bring a sleeping bag, pillow, snack to share and perhaps a friend, and meet us in The Shed!




Tubing TeaserStudent Ministry Helen Tubing Trip

Wednesday, July 9 – 9:00am to 4:00pm

Calling all 6th-12th graders! Do you want to tube down the river and have fun at the waterpark? Join us on July 9th for a day of tubing at Helen Tubing Co. Cost is only $25.00! We’ll meet at the church at 9am and caravan to Helen. Lunch will be provided for you (but bring extra money if you think you’ll want a snack from the snack bar)! Wear your bathing suit (no bikinis) and bring a towel. We’ll return to the church at 4pm. Register early – space is limited!


*All participants must register is advance and registration will close on July 2nd.

4. Family Mission Opportunity! Help Feed the Homeless of Atlanta!

5. All Call Patriotic Choir

All Call Choir July 2014Rehearsal – Wednesday, July 2 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm 

Special Worship Service –  Sunday, July 6 at 11:00am

Join the Chancel Choir for a one-time commitment before the choir takes a summer break. This service features an orchestra and easy to learn patriotic music. To participate, please pick up a music folder and CD at the Welcome Centers and attend rehearsal on Wednesday, July 2 from 7:00pm-8:30pm. 6. Super Skills Summer Camp


Covenant Family Counseling and Resource Center will be holding a SUPER SKILLS SUMMER CAMP at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church  the week of July 7th-July 11th from 8:30am-4:30pm. Step 4: From the header, choose Giving, then click Give Now.
Step 5: Fill in your information by following the prompts.


Now you can sit back and enjoy the service on Sunday morning! If you would like to let us know that you gave online when the collection plate comes around, use the “Online Offering Note” in the tear off section in your bulletin. Happy giving! 10. Help Keep the Pantry Stocked this Summer

The Pantry at HMUMC is open every Saturday from 9:30am-11:30am and gives out over 1,500 pounds of food, feeding an average of 70 families each week. We rely 100% on the generosity of volunteers and donors to support ongoing operations. Volunteers are welcome any Saturday and donations can be dropped in the pantry bins located at the portico entrance.

The most needed items include: Canned Entrees, Canned Meats, Canned Fruit, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Canned Vegetables, Pasta, Beans and Breakfast Cereals.

These are our most needed items, however, any nonperishable items are greatly appreciated. Thank your for your support!

      Hi Linda, The next FYI 55+ was just decided on. Here is the scoop…
      July Outing to Covington’s historic Salem Campground on July 17th. They will leave HMUMC at 4:30pm, have dinner on site at the Salem Hotel at 6:00, then attend worship at the camp meeting, where Methodists have been gathering since 1828! The cost for travel and dinner is only $15, and you can just bring cash on the day of the trip ($10 for dinner, $5 for gas). Please RSVP to Pastor Jason at by Sunday, July 6th.
