Friendships with God are Growing at WinShape!
Day 2 – Captain’s Bridge
Today’s Truth: Our friendship with God will grow when more of Him we get to know.
Scripture Verse: “This is what the Lord says: ‘Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the ones who boasts boast about this: That they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,’ declares the Lord.”
Small Group Time
In small groups today, the campers talked about their purpose. Sometimes our purpose is what we are known for. The main purpose of WinShape 2014, is to teach the kids about friendship with God and others. The ship on the main stage is called the “Koinonia,” which means fellowship.
What is the one thing you’re known for? What do you think the name of your ship should be?
“My family breeds husky puppies, so all of my friends know how much I love dogs. My ship would be named the ‘Husky Pirate.'”-Reily Feigen
What did today’s scripture verse teach you about God? What would you name God’s ship?
“Today’s scripture taught us that the only thing worth boasting or bragging about is how much God loves us. I would name God’s ship, the “Our Father.'” – MaKenzie Curry
Did God give you a special talent? It might be one of your purposes. How can you use it for God?
“I like to play football. When I score a touchdown I point to God.” – London Metz
What did today’s truth teach you?
“Today’s truth taught me that the more I learn about God, the better friends I will be with Him.” – Megan Ostrander
