August on The Rooftop – RESPECT

Categories: Crosstown Kids,Uncategorized

Our virtue this month could not come at a better time!  Respect – showing others they are important by what you say and do.  It’s back to school and back to the many after school activities that crowd our schedules.  This is a perfect time to focus on the virtue of respect.  Each week, we will spend time covering the various people in our lives that deserve our respect…beginning with our Creator!

Week 1:  Respect God because He is in charge of everything.

Week 2:  Respect those who are in charge.

Week 3:  Respect those who are in charge even when they don’t deserve     it.

Week 4:  Respect others with your words.

Week 5:  Respect others because they are important to God.

Our purpose at Crosstown Kids is to walk alongside parents as they raise disciples of Christ.  We highly encourage you to help your child have some “God time” each week.  We offer a GodTime card that you can pick up on Sunday morning or download from our website.   On the card are 4 short devotions that pertain to the message from Sunday and reinforces it in kid friendly life applications! Have your child complete the cards and bring them to church on Sunday.  Once we’ve collected 5, your child will earn a visit to our prize bin on The Rooftop.  You’ll find that K-3rd graders may need some help, but your 4th and 5th graders should be able to begin enjoying some quiet time with God on their own.

Finally, don’t miss August 24th, we will be having an FX style worship on the Rooftop.  It’s a longer large group experience that’s high-energy, interactive, multi-media and just plain FUN!  Mr. Lamb from VBS will be joining us to help celebrate back to school and to teach us some RESPECT!

Many Blessings to you and your family!
