Day three in Guatemala

Categories: High School,Students

This post was written collaboratively by the high school boys on the trip. This post is best read aloud and contains a few inside jokes.

We awoke to crashing waves on the shore
God was present, we wanted more

This morning for breakfast: Eggs and cheese
Once introduced we said “Yes please”

Sunscreen and bug spray
We were ready for the day

To the bus we all went
Happy Tummies was where we were sent

With the selfie stick was Eugene*
Embarrassing pictures are sure to be seen

Dancing with the Abuelitos we were getting thinner*
Rocking and rolling like Abigail Renner*

At the construction site
We tossed rocks with all our might

We talked a lot while at lunch
It was good, we had a great munch

Tossing shade* with the chicos
We made many cool amigos

At VBS we gave God the fame
We preached his word without shame

Tired and worn out we all came back
Taking off shoes we were ready for a nap

Before too long dinner was done
We closed our eyes and prayed to the Son

At the end of the day we worshipped the Lord
We listened to Cameron strum her chords

The book of Mark we talked about
Eyes were opened, there is no doubt

Here we are typing away
There is no doubt, it was a great day

Shoutout to all the homies that made this possible
We outchea -The Boys

*Another term for Jake LaRosa
*Dancing is exercise a.k.a. getting thinner
*Inside joke including an embarrassing picture of Abigail from childhood
*Something we did to annoy Trey Brennan

Great pics. They mean so much to us back home. You young folks are blessing those around you, making memories and getting blessed in return. Treasure every moment, every success, every failure (through which we are tried and purified).
