We’re headed home!

Categories: High School,Students

After many great days of working, we finally began to say our goodbyes on Friday!

One group went on a hike above the city in the morning while another stayed back and said goodbye to the Abuelitos. That afternoon we played with the Happy Tummies children and gave our final hugs.

Today, we travelled from San Pedro La Laguna to Panajachel and then to Antigua where we shared dinner. Tonight, we had our final devotional on the roof of our hotel and we shared in Holy Communion and the washing of each other’s feet.

The Lord has blessed us greatly on this trip and we’re so thankful for all the generous people who helped make this trip happen. And we’re thankful that you’ve followed along! We should have one final post in the future… an awesome video the Impacto staff put together for us!

    What a wonderful trip!

We have enjoyed the bloggged stories, but somehow we know that’s only a drop in the bucket of all of the adventures and events (physical and spiritual) that happened.

It’s great to go, and great to come back home! You are not the same young people that left. You are the new, the refreshed, the enlightened.

Come home to our arms and share yourselves. Shine your light on us.

So proud of each of you! You are now changed people, you have been His light all week and will be blessed beyond belief. I can not wait to see everyone and hear all the stories. God Bless each of you and love to my sweet girls and my hubby.

Great update. It’s obvious you’ve had an impact on the people of Guatamala…and they’ve had an impact on you. Loved all the pictures. We’re looking forward to having you back home and hearing some wonderful stories. Safe travels!
