1. July Canned Fruit Drive

The Pantry Canned Fruit Drive
In the summer months we are frequently unable to keep our pantry shelves adequately full – we need your help! During the month of July, we are focusing our efforts on canned fruit. Canned fruit and fruit cups are good snacks for kids, high in Vitamin C and nutrients, and keep well on pantry shelves. Let’s come together for a common cause to end summer hunger. Let’s see if we can collect 1,000 cans of fruit in July!

10. Thank you!

Recently, our church had the sad honor of hosting two funerals. On Friday, July 1st a funeral and reception was held for Mrs. Janet O’Meara. On Tuesday, July 5th, a memorial service and reception was held in honor of Mr. Jonathan Mountjoy. Heartfelt appreciation is expressed to the Kitchen Angels and many other members of our church who took time during the busy 4th of July holiday to provide delicious food and/or serve at these receptions. Three hundred plus lives were touched by the love of Christ expressed by our church family. “Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place.” May God continue to bless you and HMUMC.
