September on the Rooftop – Week 2

Joseph really went through some tough times yet trusted God in every circumstance. This week, we find him in prison for something he didn’t do. Genesis 40 tells us that while he was there he interpreted the dreams of 2 of pharaoh’s servants. Upon being released from the jail, one of the servants forgot about Joseph despite his promise to help him. Still, Joseph trusted God and was later put in charge of the rest of the prisoners. Trust is putting your confidence in someone you can depend on. Our bottom line this week: When life doesn’t make sense, you can trust God is with you.
Our memory verse this month is Proverbs 3:5,
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

**ALWAYS BRING YOUR BIBLE TO CHURCH!**
Crosstown Kids rising K-5th grades should be dropped off in The Rooftop on Sunday mornings.  Doors open at 9:15am for the 9:30am service and 10:45am for the 11am service. Please use the door closest to the Sanctuary when checking in your children. Kids will get picked up, however, downstairs in our children’s area.  Please pick up a parent card upon check-in for more information including classroom numbers.

Mission Project for September:

The HMUMC Preschool, Mother’s Morning Out, our Crosstown Kids and the Students Ministry are all teaming up to do a mission project each month. In September, we are partnering with McClain Hermes’ Shoes for the Souls program. We are collecting old shoes which will be donated to the Atlanta Mission, and we would love your help! Donation bins are located in The Rooftop, by the Preschool offices, and in The Shed. Thank you for your support.
Many Blessings,
