December on the Rooftop Week 1

Categories: Crosstown Kids

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” Philippians 4:4 (NIV)
I love our memory verse this month as we spend December discovering Joy through the prophecy and birth of a Savior. A Savior who mends our broken relationship with the Father in an amazing way. I know you’ll want to go on this journey with your child. Each week there is a devotion online that coincides with our discussion on the Rooftop. Click here to discover how you can spend some time this week with your child studying God’s word and going deeper into the lesson we presented on Sunday!
Get out your Bible and find Isaiah 9:6-7. The prophet Isaiah wrote these words hundreds of years before Mary, Joseph, or shepherds were in the picture. This story is a reminder of how God keeps his promises! He made a promise to send a Savior during a time when the tribes of Israel were lost, scattered, and hopeless. Hundreds of years later, in God’s perfect timing, the Savior was born. Our Bottom Line: I can have joy because God keeps his promises!

Donation bins are located outside of the preschool office, in the Rooftop and The Shed. Thank you for your support.
