February on the Rooftop Week 1

Categories: Crosstown Kids

“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”  (1 John 4:10, NIV)  Our memory verse this month is all about how much God loves us.  The Bible is a love story between God and his creation.  He loves us so much he made the ultimate sacrifice: sending his one and only Son to restore our relationship with Him so that we could be with God for eternity.  Jesus is the perfect example of love.  This week we studied John 15: 12-13 where Jesus calls us to love one another.  Our bottom line:  Love others because Jesus loves you.
I encourage you to utilize the devotions we send home with your child on Sunday mornings.  If you didn’t get one, visit our website where you’ll find a devotion that coincides with our discussion on the Rooftop.  A more age specific copy of the devo is available from your child’s small group leader.
*****KIDS – don’t forget your Bibles on Sunday morning!*****
Please prayerfully consider supporting our church and our kids’ ministry by becoming a volunteer in Crosstown Kids.  Our team creates a lesson for you that requires no prep other than to read the scripture reference and lesson before coming to church.  I know many leaders read over it while having coffee before coming to church on Sunday and are perfectly prepared!  We are working on filling positions beginning in the fall and some dates this summer.  Contact Traci Lowry for more details!  We need you!!

Mark your calendar:
March 29 – Annual Easter Egg hunt – watch for details!
Watch for registration for our summer events:
June 5-9 VBS – Maker Fun Factory – Created by God.  Built for a purpose!
July 10-14 – WinShape Camps for Communities
