April 23 on the Rooftop

Categories: Crosstown Kids

In Matthew 28:16-20 we read of Jesus’ Great Commission.  Verses 19-20, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
The disciples expected a king, but instead, their job was to go and tell all the world of Jesus.  Our bottom line this week:  I can put others first by doing what Jesus said.
Humility is putting others first by giving up what you think you deserve.  Our memory verse is Philipians 2:3, ” Do nothing out of vain conceit.  Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.”
Visit our website, where you’ll find a devotion that coincides with our discussion on the Rooftop.
