2. June Cereal Drive
June Cereal Drive for The Pantry!
Because Breakfast Does Not Take The Summer off!
Pantry donations significantly drop in the summer and we need your help. During the month of June, we are focusing our efforts on one of the most needed items at The Pantry – cereal. Breakfast does not take the summer off and neither do we! Let’s come together for a common cause to end summer hunger. In 2016, we collected 2,000 boxes of cereal.  This year, our goal is to collect 3,000 boxes of cereal by June 30. Every box counts! Chick here to make a monetary donation or visit www.hmumc.org/thepantry to learn more
3. This Sunday
Father’s Day
Sunday, June 18
This Sunday, we will acknowledge all of the wonderful men in our life with a special service. It’s Father’s Day, so we are inviting our children to join us in services. Instead of gathering in “The Rooftop,” all children in Kindergarten – 5th grade will worship in The Worship Center at 8am, 9:15am or 11am. Nursery will be available for children 4 years old and younger. A special children’s moment with a message designed just for our young worshipers will kick off this engaging service. Gather the family and let’s worship together on Father’s Day at HMUMC.

As you may know, one unit of blood may be used by as many as three recipients. A special thanks to each donor, volunteer, and our pastors and staff. You are the ones that make this happen and you are a blessing! Our next blood drive will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017.

Pat Erwin

Join your friends at Chick-fil-A as we grow deeper in our understanding of God’s word this summer. This Bible study is for all students rising 6th-12th grade. Students will need to be picked up and dropped off at CFA, Hamilton Mill and will also need to bring money for breakfast if they would like to eat. Come just once or all month long.
We’re going to be studying the Bible and asking tough questions. Can I Ask That? Sure, why not? We will be looking at a number of difficult questions about faith and religion. Some of the questions we will be talking about are “Is the Bible real?” and “Does the Bible Contradict Itself?” We will be using a curriculum called “Can I Ask That,” written by Kara Powell, the Executive Director of the Fuller Youth Institute, Jim Candy, and Brad Griffin. We will be tackling these tough questions together and enjoying some amazing CFA at the same time! Join us on Thursdays and bring a friend!
