Natalee Dukes Hamby Welcome Graphic

Natalee Dukes Hamby, our New Associate Pastor will be with us in worship this Sunday. Please join us in welcoming Natalee and her husband, Montana to our church family.
Natalee Dukes Hamby’s focus will be on serving our children and youth teams, supporting our mission work in the community and abroad, and engaging our congregation in meaningful relationships with Jesus Christ. She comes to us well qualified, with a BA in Religion with a minor in Environmental Health Science from the University of Georgia and a MDiv from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. While in seminary, Natalee also served on the children’s ministry team at Dunwoody UMC.
We are looking forward to being in ministry with Natalee, and know she will make an excellent addition to our Pastoral team.
“Every time I talk with Natalee, I come away feeling more excited about the possibilities for ministry she brings to HMUMC,” Mark Westmoreland said.  “She is a remarkable young Christian whose love for the Lord is obvious the moment you meet her.  She is bright, gifted, compassionate, and a great match for our church.  God is going to do amazing things through Natalee and our church.”
Pastor Jason Mincey, also excited about the energy Natalee will bring to our church added,”Natalee’s enthusiasm for connecting people with Christ comes across the first time you meet her. We are excited as a staff to finally have her on board, and we are blessed as a church that she and Montana will be part of our family!”
As we mentioned, you will get a chance to meet Natalee this Sunday, June 25th, when we officially welcome her and her husband, Montana to our Hamilton Mill UMC family during services. In the meantime, we thought you would enjoy learning a bit more about our new pastor.
Q&A with our New Associate Pastor, Natalee Dukes Hamby
What is your vision for your position?
My vision is to empower as many people as possible to live on fire for Christ in the community and in the world. Wherever your life and your passions call you, are you taking the love of Christ with you? I believe we have so much hope to offer our broken world, and my prayer is that being a Christian influences how we live and how we love.  My hope is to maintain and create a community that supports one another on our journeys, a community that is present and prayerful. We are created for community, and I am excited to be a part of the Hamilton Mill UMC community!
Where would you like to see your ministry in 5 years?
In five years, I would love to see our congregants engaging their faith in such a way that we are making huge impacts in our surrounding communities. My hope is that in 5 years more people have come to know and love Christ, more people feel empowered to share their faith, and more people understand what it means to be a disciple of Christ.
Where are you praying for people to help?
My biggest prayer is for people to commit to being fully present in whatever space God has called them to be in. Whether it is working with our kids, serving at The Pantry, leading a life group, or supporting Sunday morning worship, my prayer is for people to be there with their whole hearts. In Jeremiah, God says that we will find Him when we seek Him with our whole hearts (Jeremiah 29:13)—may that be the position of our hearts!
See you in worship this Sunday at 8 am, 9:15 am or 11 am!
