This Week’s Top Ten!
1. This Sunday in Worship
Join us in worship THIS SUNDAY, February 4
Word & Table Service at 8am | Modern Service at 9:15am |
Traditional Service at 11:00am
This Sunday we will retell the story of Joseph in Genesis 50:15-21 and reflect on how God’s grace moves even through our best intentions and our worst.
2. This Sunday!
Diaper Drive
for the United Methodist Children’s Home

You still have time to bring your diaper donations in before this Sunday! We are so close to our goal.

Dave Allen Grady, Director of Church Relations at The United Methodist Children’s Home will be at the 9:15am and 11am services this Sunday. We hope to present him with well over 200 diapers and wipes to give to foster parents in our area. Our church has enjoyed helping the Children’s Home through the Diaper Drive, and we are looking forward to hearing about more ways we can help through our Foster Care Ministry. www.hmumc.org/fostercare.

3. Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday Services
February 14th at 9:30 am AND 7:00pm
Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s Day fall on the same day this year. Sounds strange, but maybe not SO strange.  Our journey toward Easter, after all, is a journey in love.  This year we are offering TWO Ash Wednesday services. At 9:30 am, we will have a brief service with acoustic music, a Lenten message, and the imposition of ashes. Another service at 7 pm will include traditional hymns, prayer, a message, and, again, the imposition of ashes. Whichever service works best for you, we hope you will begin the season in worship, as we join a holy pilgrimage toward Good Friday and Easter, a journey of Spirit and hope taken by countless Christians through the ages.

*The 7pm service will take the place of our regular evening programming and Wednesday Night Supper. Childcare is available for children 4 years and younger.

Ignorance Is No Defense Parent and Student Event
Sunday, March 18 at 5pm in the Worship Center
J.Tom Morgan, author of Ignorance Is No Defense, A Teenager’s Guide to Georgia Law, has spoken to tens of thousands of teenagers and parents regarding Georgia laws that impact young people and now he is coming to our community to equip our students to better understand the world in which they live. Parents and students, join us for an evening packed with useful – and sometimes surprising – information about laws and consequences for violating laws. As a highly respected former prosecutor and experienced trial lawyer, J. Tom will share real-life examples and explain how GA laws affect our teenagers. He will not only describe what the law requires but also what teenagers’ rights are under the law. He will provide straightforward information and valuable insights to help teenagers avoid violating the law and avoid being victims of crime. Make sure you do not miss this event that will help you and your teenagers make safe, informed choices.
This event is FREE, but please CLICK HERE to sign up. Book pre-sales and advance pick-up are available upon registration for $10. Books at the event will be $12.
