Our Director of Finance and Business Administration, Barbie Marrero whole-heartedly believes that it is our obligation to use the resources and gifts given by our congregation in the most beneficial and economical way possible in order to draw non-believers to Christ, grow our Christian family spiritually, and help the less fortunate in our community and the world. Barbie has been happily married to her husband, Alex for 16 years. The couple has two children; Andrew and Katie. Barbie holds a BBA in Management from Brenau University. She was a Contract Administrator and Sr. Financial Analyst for Siemens before having her beautiful children. While at home with the kids, Barbie worked as a book keeper and small business owner. She has also volunteered in numerous positions in public schools and recreational sports programs.

What do you believe God has called you to do here at HMUMC?
God has paved the way for me to help improve the financial policies, procedures and systems within the Finance Ministry of our church.
Where would you like to see your ministry in 5 years?
In five years, I pray that the Finance Ministry of HMUMC is positioned to handle all aspects of the churches finances in a way that is efficient, accountable, and is forced to grow in staff due to the volume of growth in our congregation.
Where are you praying for people to help?
Faithfully give of your resources to help facilitate the plans, projects and missions that are prayerfully led by the lay leaders, staff, and pastors of HMUMC.
