Chip Morton

As Director of Operations Chip Morton is dedicated to helping us be good stewards of the resources that God has given us to do His work. Chip graduated from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. After college Chip served on active duty in the US Army for 13 years. He then worked with BellSouth, AT&T, and YP for 23 years, serving in a variety of IT positions. Chip and his wife Jackie have been happily married for 34 years, and they have been members of HMUMC for over 17 years. They have two daughters, Erin and Jillian, and a son, Sandy.

 


Q&A with our Director of Operations

What is your vision for your position?
“My vision is to help all of our ministry and mission teams be successful in the work that God has called them to do by being responsive to their needs and by being a good steward of the resources that God has helped us assemble here at HMUMC.”

 

 

Where would you like to see your ministry in 5 years?
“I see our new Worship Center enabling us to further expand the positive force that we represent here in the community. We already touch an incredible number of lives through the activities that we offer here at the church and those that we sponsor throughout the community. With the expanded facilities and the inevitable increase in membership we can only expect to do more!”

 

 

Where are you praying for people to help?
“There are so many opportunities to serve here at HMUMC that virtually any talent can find a place. In fact, even if you think you have no talent you can find a place to serve, just ask!   In the areas that I work with we could really use some additional volunteers to help as Greeters, Ushers, and Parking Lot helpers as we move into the new Worship Center.”
