The countdown to Christmas has officially begun. The church created the season of advent to be a time of slowing down to wait and to watch for the birth of our Savior. But the season has become hurried and filled with lots and lots of waiting. But not necessarily the good kind. Waiting in traffic. Waiting in the long lines. Waiting for the peace that never comes. Waiting for the perfect family. Waiting for the Hallmark ending.
