Share the Love Virtual Women's Day Together

Please watch the video on this webpage
Please enjoy the video from our Virtual Day Together - we were joined by Darlene Adair, Director of Desire Thy Portion, a Buford-based mission that reaches out to people experiencing homelessness with the love of Jesus and meets their basic needs.
During the video, you will see a brief overview of how you can help "Share the Love" by putting together needed hygiene kits and will make or include Valentine's Day cards in these kits. You can have the items together in advance or make the kit after the event. We ask that all kits be brought to the church no later than February 23.
Hygiene Items Needed to Make a Kit
  • Gallon baggie (to put everything in or you can use a grocery bag if it's too full)
  • Toothbrush/Toothpaste
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Wipes
  • Deodorant
  • Socks
  • Vitamin C drops or cough drops/mints
  • Women: hygiene pads
  • Men: razor/shaving cream
  • Valentine Card or supplies to make a homemade card - we'd like you to include a love scripture and please sign it from HMUMC.
If you have any questions, please email Carrie Smola at communications@hmumc.org.
No registration is required - you can join online on Saturday, February 13 starting at 10:00.
This is going to be an exciting way where we can share the love together!

UMW Membership

A member of United Methodist Women is any woman who commits herself to the PURPOSE and chooses to participate in prayer, giving, study, action and/or service. The organization celebrates a diverse and inclusive membership and welcomes all women who want to be members. We are a community of women who nurture and encourage one another in our spiritual growth and personal development. Over 800,000 women count themselves as members of United Methodist Women.

Members of United Methodist Women pay no dues. As part of their commitment to the purpose of United Methodist Women, all members are invited to make an annual pledge or offering to the local and international missions of United Methodist Women.
