UMW Summer Social

Saturday, July 24 from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
When you think of summer, you think of fun in the sun, watermelon, ice cream, time with friends, and patriotism. For our UMW's summer event, we will have all of this and more (except we will be inside).
Join us on Saturday, July 24 from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm for fellowship, games, prizes, watermelon, and ice cream too!
As part of our event, we have partnered with our HMUMC Military Support Group and are going to support the PTSD Foundation of America and Camp Hope - the mission of the PTSD Foundation of America is to bring hope and healing to Combat Veterans and their families suffering from the effects of combat-related Post Traumatic Stress.
We ask that you bring an item to donate to the PTSD Foundation and Camp Hope - a facility in Houston, Texas where combat soldiers go to recover from PTSD.
Here are their URGENT needs:
  • Bottled water (16.9 oz)
  • All-Purpose Cleaner
  • Window Cleaner
  • Disinfectant wipes,
  • Paper plates
  • Plastic utensils
  • Toilet paper
  • 30-55 gal trash bags
  • Twin size sheets, pillowcases, and pillows,
  • Shower shoes (size 9-13)
  • Alarm clocks
  • Beef jerky
  • Gatorade
  • Nuts
  • Keurig K-cups
You can also use this Amazon Smile link to send items directly to Camp Hope and monetary donations will be accepted at the event too.
We look forward to spending time together in person to support an important cause - our Veterans!
