Before the world began, the Word was there. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was there with God in the beginning. Everything was made through him, and nothing was made without him. In him there was life, and that life was a light for the people of the world. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not defeated it. John 1:1-5 (CEV)
Advent Series: Setting the Stage for Christmas Starts November 30th
There’s something special, almost magical about all the lights at Christmastime. They are bright, colorful and add beauty wherever they are hung. For many families, a Christmas tradition is to drive around looking at the lights all over town. The lights of Christmas point to Jesus… the light of the world who was born to bring light to all people.
